The Queijada (spelt Kay-Jah-duh) is Portugal’s sweetest indulgence. An airy mix of flavor and lip-smacking texture. The Queijada is a traditional Portuguese conventual pastry. The oldest surviving mention of the Queijada is a commercial transaction receipt from 1590! Safe to say, it’s a century old delicacy.
With a magnificent range of flavours - Orange, Passionfruit, Chocolate, Caramel and Carrot - to fawn over, plus 2 special editions: Almond and Coconut!
HANDLING AND LOGISTICS
The Queijadas are frozen for transport at -18ºC but do not require any preparation at the Point of Sale other than 30 minutes at room temperature for defrosting. This can be accomplished while in transit between the warehouse and the store, for example, to save on logistics.
